from last thread

You know what, as much as we(myself included) love to pick on kent, if he can drag his tired body out of bed to do something like that...then let him scream at our young guys all he wants, I just want us to get fired up! come on boys!! right NOW!...don't let this one get away now

2.   ucladodger
also from last thread-

how cam Lou not have double switched when he brought in Marmol? He's too good to use for only 2/3 of an inning when he can easily go more. Marmol>>>>>>>>>>>>Howry

3.   Bluebleeder87
we were just kind of chatting & he just kind of hit it out.

Old guys getting it done tonight, Kent and Sweeney. Kemp, Ethier, Martin and Loney are not (1 for 13). We need them all to win.

man I wish i had me one of them bobble heads..

That dive into the concrete looked painful for Ethier.

Excellent acting job by Aramis.
2008-06-05 21:51:42
13.   Bluebleeder87
that ball tailed quit a bit at the end, woah.
2008-06-05 21:51:50
14.   LoneStar7
that hit him?
2008-06-05 21:51:56
15.   ucladodger
I abolutely hate that call by Russ. No reason to try to waste a pitch with a 2-2. Aramis was so confused that any pitch probably would have gotten him.
2008-06-05 21:53:50
16.   Bluebleeder87
sneak in the slider here Saito...

You gotta hand it to Fukudome it was a nice battle that Saito lost.

Yup. cant remember the last time Saito was sharp. Same with Brox, but i attribute his recent failures to that period of overuse.

I think it is a safe assumption to say this will be Takashi Saito's last season. But I felt this way before the season and it has nothing to do with his recent troubles.

Opponents are hitting .207/.278/.299 against Saito. Sure he's been off at times (3 blown saves) but other than the McLouth HR he really hasn't been that bad.
2008-06-05 22:05:28
34.   Bob Hendley
Aggresive!

43.   Bluebleeder87
wup, nasty pitch to DeWitt.
2008-06-05 22:08:13
44.   Eric Stephen
Was the kill pitch to DeWitt a slider or curve? Comcast gun said 81 MPH, but the break almost looked curvish to me. Brenly called it a slider.
2008-06-05 22:09:01
45.   LoneStar7
I've learned to enjoy the little things with this team, seeing loney chug along into second was pure...well heres our last chance

Right, and that's a rare occurrence. No need to start lighting the torches and storming the castle yet.

I think Terry Tiffee should be sent to the minors and replaced by Jerry Jpeg.
2008-06-05 22:09:41
48.   ucladodger
Wow, they were playing so shallow. Thats a hit if they are regular depth.

The Padres won tonight when Scott Schoeneweis walked three batters and then hit another to force in the winning run.

Let's aim for that!

2008-06-05 22:13:08
63.   Bob Hendley
JP, all is forgiven. Just get a hit (and Bob will buy 100 jerseys).

or walk, if you'd like (Mr. Goodeye).
2008-06-05 22:16:14

At 1-2, I said "If this was DeWitt, I'd say a walk is possible, but no way..."

One way to prove me wrong, JP

Piniella trying to direct the OF. Too bad they can't position themselves in the bleachers.

2008-06-05 22:20:19
96.   ucladodger
That last AB was pretty awful, obviously. He tried to hit hat 2-0 pitch about 600 feet, and then was about half a second late on the last fastball. Yuck.
2008-06-05 22:20:30
97.   JoeyP
Kemp with terrible discipline on the 2-0 pitch.

This team is not very good.

2008-06-05 22:20:42
98.   Alex41592
Swung at a 2 and 0 fastball three feet above his head, took strike two and swung right through a fastball down the middle for strike three.
2008-06-05 22:20:56
99.   LoneStar7
89 basically you don't wanna know after kemp swings at a 2-0 pitch up around the eyes, pathetic
2008-06-05 22:22:31
100.   LoneStar7
94 it absolutely did, we were in k woods head, but then we let him off the hook by swinging at a ball up above the head
