Dodger Stadium Changes for 2005
2004-10-03 09:46
by Jon Weisman

Key changes are coming to Dodger Stadium for the 2005 season, Tony Jackson of the Daily News reports:

  • Foul territory will be reduced. Expect ERAs to rise...

  • The dugouts will be extended forward, making them even with the ground-level seats added a few years ago.

  • More spectator seats will be added down the lines from the dugouts.

  • Some seats, such as the no-longer-used outfield seats underneath the black tarpaulin of the batter's eye, will be officially eliminated, keeping the stadium seating capacity at 56,000.

  • The much-ridiculed rubberized warning track will return to dirt.
