What's the Frequency, Vinny?

by Jon Weisman

With the 4:35 p.m. Dodger telecast roaming the airwaves because of Fox Sports West 2 scheduling conflicts, here's a clearinghouse thread where resourceful people in different areas can answer the question, "What channel is the game on?"

For the Dish Network folks, the game is on channel 447 (Sports Alt 3).

Vinny won't be there, so he'll probably be trying to figure out where to watch it just like the rest of us.

Extra Innings is showing the Fox Sports Wisconsin broadcast -- those guys are terrible, so I'll be listening to Jaime and Fernando instead.

For Time Warner Cable, the games tonight and Wednesday will be on Channel 698 - TWCSP - Special Program.

I'm in the South Bay/Torrance, so this may not be true for everyone on TWC.

I used their Live Chat Support to ask -- much better than calling on the phone. BTW, the game info also appears on the digital cable program guide -- program name is "Dodgers vs Brewers".

Anyone have any info on where we Los Angeles Adelphia cable customers might find the game?

5.   Matt Conroy
DirecTV has it on Channel 740. God I love MLB Extra Innings.

I would put up a pair of tickets to the Wednesday April 27 game that Vin won't watch the game tonight. From interviews, he's given in the past, he says that when he's not working, he doesn't watch the team play.

He's seen enough games. And he's got grandkids to play with.

Cox Cable customers can find the game on KCOX, which is Channel 12.

Last year when this happened, I had Adelphia and called them directly. Turned out they broadcast it on the Adelphia channel.

Now I have DirecTV and can pick up the Midwest Fox Sports channels, so I'm set.

I guess we'll start hearing Downing and Lyons with the absence of Vin. I'd rather listen to Downing out of all the guys not named Vin. I enjoy listening to former Dodgers with insight on the game. And I still miss Don Drysdale. He told it like it was. I still wonder what he'd say about Bonds and getting away with the stuff he does.

ElysianPark, where do you live? I see the DirecTv listing on 650, but I doubt I'll be able to get it in L.A.

Charter Cable says it will be on channel 78, at least in the SLO area.

What about those of us who have Directv, but no MLB Extra Innings?

Does anyone know where I could find the game?

DodgerKid, the MLBEI listing is on 740...the channel 650 listing I mentioned above is a RSN alternate...doubt we'll be able to get it. But that's why I was wondering what area ElysianPark lived in.

DodgerKid, the DirecTV broadcast seems to be coming through on channels 642 and 650...maybe we're in luck.

Yes! It's on! Bad thing: Steve Lyons. Good thing: No damn Bobby.

My Adelphia has it on the Adelphia Communication Network (ACN). For me it's channel 10 in Redlands. In the program guide it doesn't list the program as "baseball" or anything, just "Adelphia". It's Steiner and Lyons.

For ADELPHIa IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE ON CH. 3,10,12,0R 20.(depending where you live in socal) Most likely 10. Except it looks like Adelpphia hasn't put it on all of their adelphia locations. It's not on in Orange county right now on any of those channels.

There is a reason they are being bought out of bankruptcy. I've tried numerous times with the live chat support and calling customer service. Either they don't have access to the information or have no idea what I am talking about.

I don't seem to be getting it on Adelphia in West L.A.

Damn them. Damn them all.

Because Adelphia is screwing us(at least in O.C. & West LA) Odalis will pitch a no hitter tonight. I just paid $14.95 for the month to get it on MLB.TV and after I paid it said I was blocked out from seeing it live because it's being shown locally. comical
