My nephew Benny was on the Spike show Factory that aired on Sunday, titled "Camping." (Click on that episode after you folow the link.) He's the boy in the classroom in the second scene asking all the vexing questions. The show has a lot of improv, and he even came up with some of his own material. Nice job, Benny!

The half-game will be removed next Monday.
Not if Andy LaRoche has anything to say about it! :)
how do you figure?
Dan Haren of Arizona faces Yoslan Herrera of Pittsburgh at Chase Field.
You do the math.
I believe the preferred Vin Scullyism to describe the "dreaded half game" is "the shirttail that's sticking out."
Ahh, thought he meant by next Monday.

But probably no more than 4 times. The outcome of the game will depend more heavily on the remainder of the head-to-head battles at the plate.

Arbogast quotes are everlasting comedy gold!
If Yoslan Herrera bats four times against Haren, then I like the Bucs chances.
I was thinking of Haren as the batter, but I guess you could read it either way.

I don't quite understand how Carlos Santana was ignored by Kevin Goldstein all year and doesn't make the ten pack until after the trade. He never had the time of day for Carlos until the trade was made. He also never made the BA Hot list and couldn't even get his name on the daily BA prospect update list. Now he's everywhere but he's not doing anything different then what he's been doing since May 1st.

Brett Myers* (I assuming he remains in rotation) (Kuroda)
Manny Parra (Chad)

The game I may have to buy a ticket to is next Tuesday night against the Phillies, Beimel bobblehead night and Hamels vs. Kershaw.
Pitchers that the Dodgers will not face include Tim Lincecum, CC Sabathia, and Ben Sheets.
Zippo-He's 26 in AA and is the oldest position player on the team. His only claim to fame was being part of one of the bad Seattle trades. I think it was Bavasi's 1st trade, to bad for Seattle it wasn't his last.
I particularly like how the Brewer rotation matches up with us.
Amazing how we always seem to miss Lincecum.
1.894 lifetime OPS.
4 HRs (and 3 doubles) in 21 at bats.
It will actually be cooler and less humid in St. Louis tomorrow than it is where I live. Jon, I'm always reminded of your piece, "A Season in Savanah," in which you likened the South's summer weather to living under a "hot, moist towel." Very apt.
Big day for BayBears' Brito
>> Around the bases: Suns RHP James McDonald took a step closer to the bigs Sunday when he was promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas. McDonald was 5-3 with a 3.19 ERA and a Southern League-best 113 strikeouts with the Suns. Former Suns LHP Eric Cyr will be sent from Las Vegas to Jacksonville to start today's 7:05 p.m. game against BayBears RHP Hector Ambriz (5-12, 5.40). <<

When you go a player gamelogs you can click on a game and drag to another game, and it automatically adds up those stats from Game "A" to Game "B", is there a way you can do that from Season "A" to Season "B"?
Manny Ramirez hit home runs in back to back games. Before then, when was the last time a Dodger hit a HR in back to back games?
I can't even remember... sometimes we go a long time before the whole team hits HRs in back to back games.

Offer him 6 yrs/$45 million. This will buy out two FA years, while still paying Chad an average of $7.5 mill per year. It's fair for both sides.
