My kids like Webkinz.

There are nine Webkinz days on the 2009 Dodger Stadium promotions schedule.

Scary.

Webkinz is the only website that our computer here visits more often than Dodger Thoughts. I have to say the baseball themed room I helped my daughter design for her new huskie is quite nice though.

What is a webkinz?

It's a small stuffed animal for children. They have their own website. When you buy one, it comes with a code that you input. Then it creates that animal in a cartoon version on the website, so you can manage their life. You play games on the site so that you can earn points, then you use the points to buy them things and get them services such as eating, taking a bath, etc.

did anybody else read the last sentence of 3 as "taking a beating"? or does that just mean i definitely am not getting enough sleep these days...

This could be a mixed blessing. If I tell my kids about the nine Webkinz Dodgers games, I could potentially go to nine more games this year than I did last. However, with the amount of Webkinz that we already possess, adding 18 more (9x2kids) may require me to purchase a larger home to house the furry creatures. I am being overtaken! I have refused to purchase any more. The kids however save their birthday money and tooth fairy funds to buy these crazy things!!! My wife likens it to my doing the same for baseball cards when I was younger. I don't quite se it the same way! I have to say the Webkins promotion is slightly enticing.
