If you're interested in supporting a campaign to place a statue of Sandy Koufax at Dodger Stadium, go to Baseball Savvy and send in your e-petition.
* * *
I wanted to break my monitor (I was at work).
I think Koufax is more deserving of an LA statue than Jackie.
There already is a statue of Jackie Robinson at Jackie Robinson Stadium at UCLA.

Geez, they're practically giving it away...
19 Yeah, that's a great trend. Hope it continues.
Ledee 1B
Loney CF
Somehow, I doubt it.
At least he would have got there. But now its a run scored
If ledee would have not been such a lame duck it would still be 3 nothing.
but they have pointed out that Furcal is error prone, and practically jumped on the mike when Bernitz homered. I have pretty much convinced myself that Furcals error rate is due to his excellent range.
Who the hell made that bunt--Seo--OK
It didn't hurt the Mets, who own the Nationals but intentionally walking anyone -- even Carlos Delgado -- to get to David Wright strikes me as curious. (There were already two outs when it happened so no DP issue.)
Cheney was loudly and sustainedly booed. He was quick on and off the field. I missed all this as I was on stern orders to get a hotdog and the lines were unholy -- 25 minutes in line, even before the game started.
I don't know what it says about the VP's status in the administration right now, but for some reason they decided not to go with the metal detectors . . .
Audio/Video of Cheney:

Monday continues to struggle with the English language, but I do enjoy Reuss.
http://www.mrsmillersworld.com/whois_bin/WhoIs.html
That would mean hitting eight homers, right? Quick, somebody call Shawn Green and Gil Hodges.
Zzzzzzz.
Wow, Seo gets a hit. Snell is almost as impressive as Zach was yesterday.

Meanwhile, Seo isn't making the Pirates go away as he should.
That, and old episodes of "Growing Pains."
"Tell me where the nerve gas is now or else you are going to have to listen to Rick Monday describe the third inning of this game. If you can't tell me what the score of the game is by the time I turn the tape off, I will shoot you in the thigh!"
It hasn't stopped raining here in about 47 days.

Me either...
You mean that's not his real face?
Did I mention once again I'm glad the Dodgers signed Bill Mueller?
These are definitely not the 2003 Dodgers. I thought this was supposed to be the post-steroid era.
Good grief.
That's for sure. All of this year's pitchers are garbage.
You didn't already think that? I thought everybody did.
Bullpen anyone?
No doubt Tracy would refer to him as "Jae Seo(n)"
"Stop sucking"?
You need to update that place.
in a position to succeed
also, its not Scott Erickson ... hooray
Oh, you have been. I gave up checking a few weeks ago.
It was an illusion, just like Seo's second half last year.
I didn't trade him. Blame Midas.
Who's this P's pitcher. With Drew up he looked like Koufax(actually he's a righty--maybe Drysdale).
is the wind blowing out in Pittsburgh or what today?
Now that I've been proven wrong, he's down to the Furcal signing.
Mueller has been good so far. Make it one-and-a-half.
Yep.
That one raised the WP about 25% over retiring the batter.
Let my Pirates go.
Meanwhile, for whatever reason, 142 sort of explodes across the page this evening . . .
Hits so hard that Seo couldn't stand/
Let my Pirates go
Beltre - 4/27 (.148 BA) with 0 XBH, 0 RBI, 2 SB, and a 3/6 BB/K ratio
Bradley - 6/24 (.250 BA) with 1 triple, 3 RBI, 1 SB, 6/6 BB/K ratio
D. Sanchez - 5 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 6 K's
Scrappy!
I would like to have statue of Sandy Koufax in my front yard.

And after Jose Cruz safely reaches base, I am informed as to his true identity.
202 that does seem to be the case doesn't it?
I mean, the DODGERS need you!
When you're down a run, letting the closer hit is kind of a bad idea.
That said, bad loss but what have we learned in a week is that this team can score runs but until they can get 6 innings out of their starters and find some answers in their bullpen, they are going to have to score 6-7 runs a game. Sad thing is they are averaging that are they are at .500.
I see this team as a middling team anyway, but let's not get too up or down on any facet of the team yet.
Grits was out-managed by Jimbo? That doesn't say much about his strategically abilities.
Also, Conor Jackson grounded into a 7-5-4 DP. How do you pull that one off?
Move J.D. to centerfield.
Move Jose Cruz Jr. to right.
That way we wouldn't have Jason Repko striking out three times a game (even though he has improved that from four times a game last year).
its okay, lance carter is a "great" reliever!
1: 18
2: 7
3: 5
4: 1
5: 7
6: 0
7: 3
8: 7
9: 3
Conclusion: This team is not clutch
244- who plays left?
Could you tell us what our opponents have scored by inning this year? That might show us how non-clutch we really are.
Ricky Ledee currently.
When Nomar gets back, we have two situations:
1. Put Nomar at first and either send Loney back to the minors or keep him on the bench.
2. Move him to left field and put Ricky Ledee on the bench (we know how effective he is as a pinch-hitter).
Keep going. The word you want is "strategic".
lol.
Where are you getting this?
TV or Internet?
Opponents' runs scored by inning:
1: 7
2: 1
3: 8
4: 6
5: 6
6: 5
7: 3
8: 6
9: 3
The Dodgers are officially not clutch.
Thanks...
Triple A games are on GameDay now.
Thanks

8 strikeouts in 4 innings for Billingsley. Put him in the rotation and he's our #2.
Bill Mueller went 4-for-4 with two homers and three RBI against the Pirates on Tuesday.
Both homers came off Ian Snell. Mueller, not having any difficulties in his return to the NL West, is 13-for-27 with a 1/3 K/BB ratio. It's just too bad he's a Dodger. He's practically guaranteed of making a trip to the DL prior to Memorial Day. Apr. 11 - 10:02 pm et
Odom has a triple-double after 3 quarters.
Are you watching the 3rd season of TUF? I found Tito to be surprisingly likable in the first episode...
Yeah, I felt bad for the guys that ended up on Ken's team. They're not gonna learn much. It was actually kind of embarrassing.

I don't think I even realized Jimmy was on the roster until I just saw his name in the box score.
The third run came on a bunch of grounders, nothing was really hit hard. McPherson went deep for the first two
the 51s win! the 51s win!
my friends are idiots on it. they are talking about MILFs lol.
Which ones are your friends? I just turned to it.

I like that people ask him if he is gay haha
sorry, it just slipped.
he absolutely crushed that thing with such an easy, effortless swing too. almost out of the stadium. but foul :(
