When: Friday, June 23, 7:40 p.m. I'll arrive as early as possible after work - ideally by 6:40 p.m.
Where: Dodger Stadium, Reserved Level, Section 12. The Dodgers are hosting Pittsburgh on Fernando Valenzuela Bobblehead Night.
Tickets: Thirty tickets have been reserved at a cost of $12 each by Dodger Thoughts commenter ToyCannon. (Many thanks!) E-mail him at molokai@yahoo.com with "DodgerThoughtsGame" in the subject header to reserve your seat(s) and arrange payment. If more people are interested, we'll try to scrounge up more tickets - but because of the bobblehead giveaway, the game may sell out, so act as quickly as possible.
Update: For a $2 Ticketmaster service charge, your ticket can be e-mailed to you. See Comment 11 below for more details.
Also: If you would like to purchase a copy of The Best of Dodger Thoughts, this is a great time to do it.

I just got off the phone with the Dodger ticket man David Kirpatrick and they have placed the tickets in my account so I'm able to email the tickets to those who have the ability to print the tickets. Ticketmaster charges 2.00 per emailed ticket so the total cost would be 14.00 if you choose that option.
I'll be getting the tickets on Tuesday night. Here are the options for getting your tickets. Let me know which option you'd like when you email that you'd like to attend.
1. If you want you can come by my house and pick them up after Tuesday night. I live in Woodland Hills on the easiest street to find in the San Fernando Valley and that is Victory Blvd made famous by Randy Newman. You will need to make arrangements for local pickup via my email address. I don't live behind any gates so pickup will be painless.
Cost is 12.00 per ticket.
2. You can have them emailed and you print out the tickets. Cost is 14.00 per ticket.
3. I'll be at the game 1 hour before in the Reserve entrance section. You can pick up your ticket at that time but you must have contacted me before to let me know because I'll be working off a list. Cost is 12.00 per ticket.
The sooner you all decide to go the better in case we need more tickets.
All payment will be done either using paypal or cash at the game if you do not have paypal. Please do not make me cash any checks.
Was there something I was missing? My Adode reader wouldn't let me save individual pages.
They didn't put me through that misery. I'm lucky in that they were able to add each ticket to my existing account so I can forward each individual ticket and I'm not dealing with a PDF file.
The difference in technology between the Fox days and the McCourt days is a shining light.
1. Any chance of a pre or post game get together? I like the new El Compadre on Sunset across from the Shortstop.
2. Toy Cannon is Molokai? Did everybody know that?
I'm hoping Rob goes, so he can put together one of those cool photo things he does.
We can do the pregame get-together at the Central Library. What floor should we all swarm, Bob?

Remember the Friday Night games are 07:40, plus if we do this right we might be able to get some ride sharing going for people in the same geographic area's thus reducing the stress for everyone.
you gotta go Bob
26 tickets left.
ps. thanks for doing this.
Any chance of a repeat in August, if this goes well?
Brox used to put on quite a show. Grittle ixnayed all further BP for relief pitchers.
I am in!
I get to meet Jon, Bob T, Vishal again... very cool. Provided there are tickets left...
If you want to come join us it won't take much to gather a few of our tickets and meet you at the stairs and bring you down to meet everyone unless you have a family the size of Jose Mesa's:)
we can still see Kemp
Bobster in the house, coolness!
My name and "coolness" are the definition of juxtaposition.

I'll be there. I always have a demand for more Dodger bobbleheads...
I entered the ThinkBlue contest for BP at Dodger Stadium.... perhaps my essay will dazzle them into picking me... haha
anyway, i will be at the ravine on the 3rd of july. i realize that rally towel night is not the same as fernando bobble head night, but if anyone else is heading out, let me know.

If you haven't received your email tickets yet, please contact me as they have all been sent. Those of you doing pickup at the game you might want to reconsider since we've had a high % taking the email route it would be nice if we didn't have to hook up outside unless your planning on coming very early. I'd hate to miss all the conversation waiting for someone to show up. Just a thought. Thanks to those who responded so quickly and lets try to recruit a few more.
14 tickets still available.
54 - As Vinny says, bring the kids and we all know how he feels about babies. If anyone has a problem the peer pressure glare of multiple DT posters should do the trick. If your unaware you don't need to buy a ticket for the baby unless you want to so you have more room.

11 Tickets left, don't miss the opportunity to get a Fernando bobblehead and meet Jim Tracy who will be stopping by to thank Steve for the fine job he did on the FJT web site thus allowing Jim to find the job of his dreams in Pittsburgh.
