... and I plan another Dodger post late this evening, but in the meantime, feel free to continue to open-chat. For my part, I will have the UCLA-Cal and USC-Stanford basketball games on TV as much as the wife and kids permit.
Also, please check out my plea at Screen Jam to draw more viewers to Friday Night Lights, newly annointed by none other than me as the best one-hour show on network television.
He had to take one game off automatically because he was kicked out of a game for fighting.
I just read that Brooks intentionally elbowed a Husky player in the face last year, which I guess is why he's sitting out against Washington.
Or you can also argue that Oregon sat down Brooks because they don't think Washington is all that good.
I don't know if Aaron Brooks is a Calvinist and believes in predestination.
It's like a crusade with some people there.
Winning consistently sort of takes care of that stuff.
When John Wooden passes away, the LA Times will run a special section. When Bob Boyd passes away, there will be a nice story that might make the front page of Sports.
USC football obviously receives the most ink in the LA Times sports section now but you can't say it's undeserved.
Tim Brown's Sunday baseball was decent, now he's gone. Morning Briefing is still okay. Simers has moments.
That's also known as "Play #1"
Or maybe they start slowly. I don't know.
Love could stay two years. It's possible. If he wins a title, I give him permission to leave.
I believe in you, Tree People!
But isn't the Pac-10 better when Stanford is good?
They have road trips to the Oregons and the Bay Area schools. And home games against the LA schools, the Washingtons, and the Wildcats.
And we don't disagree that often.
Because we all know that Stanford has been a powerhouse in the Pac-10 since ... the days of Todd Lichti!
Which makes me twenty. Can somebody buy beer for me?
We don't care about the first letter of peoples' names around here...

I'm excited!
The school high for blocks was six.
Unless there was a game where Brevin Knight got 10 rebounds....
If I were USC, I would take no more than 1 shot the rest of the game, just to spite him.
Ooh, unintentionally funny guess there.
I can't think of Tracy Murray coming up big in the assist or rebound categories.
I don't remember much about Murray (obviously), except that he was awesome.
Triple double! Now why haven't we put this game away???
Jelani McCoy is the UCLA player with the triple double. He is the alltime leader in blocked shots, although the stat wasn't compiled in the days of Alcindor or Walton.
I would have thought that #33 would have racked up a few blocked shots in his day.
Jelani McCoy...yeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh.

Oregon State
Southern Cal
I don't recognize Arizona and Arizona State.
Well, at least Oregon's third. Some people have lived in a state adjacent to Oregon and haven't even been there for 34 years...
