At around 8 p.m., which coincidentally figures to be around halftime of tonight's UCLA-USC basketball game if I'm not mistaken, I am scheduled to be a guest of Ken Levine on KABC 790 AM.
It's alternative programming, like the Lingerie Bowl, only completely different.
On a brighter note is the D's signing four prospects from Latin America. Thats pretty good odds that we get something good!
It's also cool they inked some paisanos from Mex, woo!
I have no other source to substantive information about the Dodgers than what gets reported through the media.
The fact that the management communicated their opinions and thoughts to Plaschke shouldn't surprise anyone, how else am I supposed to find out what they think.
Maybe I am not that protective of the youngsters so if they get some bad press, it doesn't bother me because that is what comes from playing in L.A. and starting to make hundreds of thousands to play a game.
Its true that I could see Kent's point of view probably a lot more clearly than someone in his 20's so I admit that bias.
I just hope that there are less and less stories about this and we concentrate to what happens on the field rather than about a trash can by someone's locker.

Oh, wait. You said speak to us through the ether.
Over/under on Tim Floyd technicals tonight: 1.
I was especially struck by Molly's (differently put) point that this is a thing that Kemp will have to live with for a long time while for the Times and its columnist it was just a traffic-driving story or two last fall. So true, so unfair.

Duke loses to Wake and the Wakies rush the court.
He should prepare a list of bullet pointed slams at various players. And then add a few cracks about the Giants and finally call Roger Clemens the antichrist.
Illinois fans would want to remind you about a regional final they played a few years back against Arizona. I believe six Illini players fouled out in that game.
They were, in a word, awful.
USC has great road jerseys and horrible home jerseys no matter what the color.
The white, gold, and black ones are all terrible. The cardinal ones on the road are very good, probably because they are closer in style to the football uniforms.
And as a UCLA guy, I have to say that USC's football uniforms are really sharp.
Anything to off-set the horrid jerseys and helmets of the Beavers and Ducks.
Quick guess, assuming UCLA wins:
1. Memphis
2. Tennessee
3. Carolina
4. UCLA
5. Kansas
6. Duke
7. Texas
8. Butler
9. Purdue
10. UConn, Georgetown, or Stanford
I've been secondarily screened six times in the last two days. I'm always going to fly with an expired ID from now on. The only way to end this idiotic tyranny is to make it completely impossible. Rage against the machine! Who will stand with me? Which of you are brave enough to fight?
Charge!
Nice to see a big crowd came out to watch the game.
Also, don't forget to put your toiletries in a ziploc bag.

Looks like the Gauntlet is headed to Figueroa and Exposition.
Was that Matt Leinart's son they showed with him? I wasn't really paying attention, but I wonder..
I doubt that was Leinart's kid visiting. I don't think he and the mother have much to do with each other now. And the mom had a game earlier today.
You need to be a subscriber to listen on line.
:o)
Now if they ask him about concessions, he's all set.
The Trojans need to pick it up.
I can't wait for baseball. I'm going to spring training in Arizona in two weeks.

The NCAA record for most players fouling out is 8 by St. Joe's against Xavier in 1976.
The unnamed school holds the record for most fouls in a game. The unnameds had 50 in a game against Northern Arizona in 1953.
There is the problem that there are 10 players on the floor now who couldn't pee in the ocean at this time.
Do you think he'll make Kent shave his 'stache?
I really hope we don't put in those stupid Yankee hair rules. I don't want to be annoyed by Joe Torre so soon.
Saw this on mlbtraderumors.com tonight:
Four Teams Considering Trot Nixon
According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, four teams watched 33 year-old outfielder Trot Nixon audition in Tucson today: the D'Backs, Blue Jays, Mariners, and Dodgers. Nixon earned $4MM in '07 while hitting .251/.342/.336 for the Tribe in 354 plate appearances. He was pretty much injury-free.
Nixon's calling card had typically been his ability to rake right-handed pitching. He hit .256/.352/.345 against righties in '07, drawing plenty of walks but displaying no power. Rather than a platoon he seems in line for a bench job this year
Why do we need him? we already have a 3 left-handed hitting left fielders in Ethier, Pierre and Young-although he is a switch hitter.
I read a rumor a few weeks back that LA had interest in Blanton, and that if Ethier went in the deal, LA would look to sign Shawn Green. Probably just a rumor, and wasn't sure it was posted here already as I do not read all the comments.
Looking forward to a great year. There will be alot of late nights here watching the 10:00 games.
